Baby Rattle - Baby Collection Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Today's card tutorial, crafted by our amazing Glynis, uses the brand-new Baby collection and is perfect for welcoming a new baby into the world. The unisex design means it's suitable for both little boys and girls, and you can play with different colour combinations to suit all tastes.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with a materials list that has been linked so you can click on each product to go to its respective web page, making it easy for you to shop.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Score a line down the middle of the front of the base card and fold forward. Affix Vista pearl card to the panels and inside of the base card. Using the second die from the Dainty Squares die set, cut twice in silver mirror card. Affix a full panel to the inside and trim down the second panel to fit the two panels. Cut the next die from the set twice from white card, glittering all sides with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, and affix to the main card, as before.

2 For the top, matt and layer patterned paper from the Baby paper pad, glittering the sides beforehand with Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter. Affix the yellow ribbon on the inside before fixing the patterned paper in place.

3 Using the Dainty Ovals die set, cut a medium-sized die in Vista pearl card and a smaller one cut in white card. Emboss the white panel using the Baby Footprints embossing folder. Colour the raised footprints with a pale blue marker pen, then cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Matt and layer together and secure onto the base card with foam pads.

4 Stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut the elements from the Rattle stamp and die set onto white card using the black inkpad and Clear Gloss embossing powder. Colour with the marker pens and cover with Crystallina and Lemon Sorbet Sparkelicious glitter, then secure onto the main card using 3D glue gel. Decorate the bow and background with pearls from the Frosty Bling Box.

5 Stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut the sentiment from the Sentiment Baby Boy stamp and die set onto white card using the clear embossing inkpad and Polished Silver embossing powder.

6 From the Dainty Ovals die set, cut a small oval to fit the sentiment in Vista pearl card. Cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, then matt and layer both panels together and secure in place. Finally, secure the bow and jewel to the top right-hand corner with 3D glue gel.
