Birthday Rocking Horse - Baby Collection Card Tutorial

Birthday Rocking Horse - Baby Collection Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Today's card tutorial, crafted by our amazing Glynis, uses the brand-new Baby collection and is perfect for celebrating a baby's first birthday. Glynis has created this design using blues, but it would look equally as adorable in any colourway. It is also a brilliant design for a memorable keepsake.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with a materials list that has been linked so you can click on each product to go to its respective web page, making it easy for you to shop.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Place the top of the largest die from the Dainty Circles die set just over the fold on the base card and cut. Using the same die, cut a single panel in white card and affix to the base card. From the same set, cut a large circle in Vista pearl card and secure in place with foam pads. For the top, use a large circle die from the Basic Circle die set, cut in patterned paper from the Baby paper pad. Cover with Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter and secure in place.

2 Using smaller dies from the Dainty Circle die set, cut from white card and paper from the Baby paper pad. Cover the white panel using Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, then matt and layer both together and secure onto the base card with foam pads.

3 Stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut the Rocking Horse from the stamp and die set onto white card using the black inkpad and Clear Gloss embossing powder. Colour with the marker pens, then apply Lemon Sorbet and Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter and Glossy Accents. Re-stamp the tail and fussy cut for a 3D effect. Glitter as before and attach with 3D glue gel. Secure onto the base card with foam pads and decorate the background with pearls from the Candy Cane Lane Bling Box. Secure the very small blue jewels to the middle of the flowers on the horse’s mane.

4 Stamp and heat-emboss the sentiment onto white card using Polished Silver embossing powder and the clear embossing inkpad. Matt and layer onto yellow glitter card and affix to the main card to finish.
