Daisy Wreath - Botanical Blooms Card Tutorial

Daisy Wreath - Botanical Blooms Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Today's card tutorial has been designed by the talented Rebecca and uses items from the Botanical Blooms launch, along with a selection of coordinating items from our website. The pretty daisy wreath could be adapted into a wonderful home decor piece to display in the recipient's home, or, by changing the sentiment (or even removing it completely), you could turn this design into a beautiful box-framed art piece for your walls.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with a materials list linked so you can click each product to be taken to its respective web page, making it easy to shop.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Trim silver mirror card to 7¾” square and affix to the card blank using dries-clear glue. Trim a sheet of foiled paper to 7½” square and affix to the card using foam pads. Trim Crystal White card to 7” square and edge with Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads.

2 Trim another sheet of Crystal White pearl card to 6¾” square and emboss using the Decedent Dots embossing folder. Affix to the card using dries-clear glue.

3 Create a circle frame using your circle nesting dies, cut from white card. Apply a double layer of foam pads to the back and affix to the card.

4 Die-cut four medium and four small daisies from Crystal White pearl card. Ink the centres of the flowers using Squeezed Lemonade ink. Apply dots of glue to the centre and cover in Lemon Drop Sparkelicious glitter. Apply glue to the inner petals of the flowers and cover in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Affix the flowers to the circular frame using 3D glue gel. Add a pearl to the centre of each flower.

5 Die-cut lots of foliage and ink using Bundled Sage ink. Cut off the larger leaves and shape by creating a valley fold down the centre. Arrange behind the flowers and glue in place using 3D glue gel.

6 Die-cut a decorative circle from the Exquisite Lace Circle set from Crystal White pearl card. Stamp out the verse from the Butterfly Frame set into the centre of the circle using a clear embossing inkpad and heat-emboss using Polished Silver Superfine embossing powder. Edge the circle with a chisel-tip glue pen and cover in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads. Add three pearls to each of the corners to finish the card.
