Gilded Christmas Baubles - Gilded Christmas Card Tutorial

Gilded Christmas Baubles - Gilded Christmas Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Who says you need lots of colour to make an eye-catching Christmas card? Certainly not Glynis, who has created this stylish design for today's tutorial. Glynis has used items from the brand-new Gilded Christmas collection to great effect, which would look equally as gorgeous using gold or any other metallic colour instead of silver.

Read on for a full, step-by-step project tutorial, complete with a materials list that has been linked, allowing you to click on each product and be directed to its respective web page, making shopping easy.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Place the top of the largest die from the Gilded Rectangle die set just over the score line of a card blank and die-cut. Using the same die, cut a single piece and attach it to the main card. This ensures that all four corners match.

2 Using the next dies from the set, cut in silver mirror card and patterned paper from the Gilded Christmas paper pad. Glitter all around the sides of the patterned panel using White Christmas Sparkelicious glitter. Matt and layer both panels and secure onto the base card with foam pads.

3 From the scalloped and pierced oval die set, cut two different-sized matts in silver mirror card and white card to fit the main card. Stamp and heat-emboss the element from the Gilded Baubles stamp and die set onto the white card using the clear embossing inkpad and Polished Silver embossing powder. Decorate the chains with Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter, and then use White Christmas Sparkelicious glitter to decorate the background and around the rim. Matt and layer onto the scalloped die-cut panel and secure onto the main card with foam pads.

4 Stamp, heat-emboss, and die-cut the baubles onto white card. Cover with Stardust Silver and Crystallina Sparkelicious glitters and then attach the Metallic Sparkles. Secure in place with 3D glue gel. Die-cut the small bow, cover with Stardust Silver glitter, and attach with 3D glue gel, along with a jewel from the Everyday Essentials Bling Box.

5 Die-cut the Christmas Wishes sentiment four or five times, glue together, glitter the top one with Stardust Silver Sparkelicious glitter, and secure onto the base card to finish.
