Hello Crafters,
We have a sweet baby's first birthday card tutorial for you today, crafted by the talented Rebecca and featuring a cute teddy bear from the newly launched Baby collection. Although Rebecca created this card with a first birthday in mind, you can adapt the sentiment and colours to suit other occasions.

- Stamp and die sets – Teddy, Rocking Horse, and Sentiment Builder Baby
- 8x8" paper pad – Baby
- 8x8” nesting dies – Gilded Rectangles 3
- Metal die set – Large Numbers
- Pearl card – Vista
- Smooth white card
- WOW! embossing powder – Clear Gloss
- Sparkelicious glitter – Crystallina and Blue Ice
- Sparklers – 10mm
- Bling Box – Frosty Christmas
- Blue buttons
- White pom-pom
- Alcohol markers
- WOW! clear embossing inkpad
- Versafine black inkpad
- Quickie glue pen
- Art Glitter Dries-Clear glue with fine-tip applicator
- Pinflair 3D glue gel
- Chisel-tip glue pen
- Foam pads on a roll
- 8x8” white straight-edged card blank
- WOW! heat tool
- Die-cutting machine
INSTRUCTIONS:
1 Trim a sheet of patterned paper to 7¾” square and affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Trim white card to 7¼” square and affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Trim Vista pearl card to 7” square and affix to the card using foam pads. Finally, trim another sheet of patterned paper to 6¾” square and affix to the card using foam pads.
2 Die-cut two rectangles from white card. Using a Quickie glue pen, apply glue to the debossed line of the larger one, then cover it with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Affix both panels to the card using foam pads.
3 Stamp out the teddy bear onto white card using a black inkpad and heat-emboss using Clear Gloss embossing powder. Colour in using alcohol markers and die-cut using the coordinating die. Apply dries-clear glue to the teddy’s paws and ears, and cover in Blue Ice Sparkelicious glitter. Add two buttons to the teddy’s tummy. Cut out a triangle of patterned paper and a thin strip of Vista pearl card. Affix the strip to the bottom of the triangle and trim to create a party hat. Glue a pom-pom in place at the top of the hat. Affix the teddy bear onto the card using foam pads.
4 Die-cut ‘1’ and ‘st’ from Vista pearl card and affix to the card using foam pads.
5 Stamp out ‘happy’ and ‘first birthday’ onto white card using a black inkpad and heat-emboss using Clear Gloss embossing powder. Trim and affix to the card using foam pads. Finally, add three pearls to each of the corners to complete the card.
