Pink Peonies Bouquet - Pretty Peonies Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Today's card tutorial is this absolutely stunning peony bouquet stamped image. It's the perfect card for newcomers to stamping as the peony flowers just need one marker pen. Christine is the creative mastermind behind this design and she has used the brand-new Pretty Peonies collection to create the look.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with a materials list that has been linked so you can click on each product to be sent to its respective web page, making it easy for you to shop.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Trim a sheet of pink patterned paper from the Pretty Peonies paper pad to 7¾” square, edge with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, and affix to the card blank using foam pads. Using the second-largest Decorative Squares die, cut a panel from Azalea matt mirror card and attach to the card front using foam pads. Trim a sheet of Crystal White pearl card to 6¾” square, edge with Crystallina glitter, and affix to the card front using foam pads. Trim a piece of patterned paper to 6½” square. Wrap a length of pink ribbon around the centre and secure on the reverse. Matt and layer onto the card front with foam pads. Die-cut a sheet of Azalea matt mirror card using the second-largest Decorative Oval die and affix to the card front with foam pads.

2 Die-cut a sheet of smooth white card using the tenth-largest die from the Basic Ovals die set.  Stamp the peony image onto the oval using the black inkpad, cover with Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder and heat set. Colour the peonies using the pink marker pen and then add Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter using the dries-clear adhesive. Using the fine-tip glue pen, glitter the stems with Stardust Sparkelicious glitter and the leaves with Glass Slipper glitter. Edge the oval with Crystallina glitter and affix to the card front using foam pads.

3 Emboss the smallest butterfly from the Delightful Butterflies 3D embossing folder onto a piece of Azalea matt mirror card. Die-cut the butterfly using the corresponding die. Affix some diamanté crystals to the centre of the butterfly and affix it to the card front, as shown, using dries-clear adhesive.

4 Die-cut a piece of Azalea matt mirror card using the third-smallest Gilded Rectangles die. Die-cut Crystal White pearl card using the second-smallest die from the same set. Stamp the sentiment onto the white panel using the black inkpad, cover with Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder and heat set. Matt and layer both and affix to the card front, as shown, using foam pads.

5 Affix three pearls from the Candy Pearl Box to the top-left and bottom-right corners of the card. Add some small diamanté crystals to the top image, as shown. Tie a bow using the pink satin ribbon, affix side-on to the left of the card using 3D glue gel and add a 12mm Sparkler to the centre to finish.
