Christmas Deer - Starlit Christmas Collection Card Tutorial – Chloes Creative Cards

When you're making lots of Christmas cards in one session, you will want a design that's quick, simple, and high-impact. And that's where this brilliant example by newcomer to the Design Team, Joanna, steps in. For today's card tutorial, we simply had to use Joanna's elegant and stylish design from the recent Starlit Christmas collection.

YOU WILL NEED:

Starlit Christmas collection:
- 8x8” paper pad – Starlit Christmas
- Die set – Starlit Merry Christmas
Nesting die set – Gilded Rectangles 3
Pearl card – Opal
Mirror card – Gold
Sparkelicious glitter – Glass Slipper
Double-sided adhesive sheet
Quickie glue pen
Art Glitter Dries-Clear PVA glue
Pinflair 3D glue gel
Foam pads on a roll
Die-cutting machine

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Fold a sheet of Opal pearl card in half, then take the largest die from the Gilded Rectangles 3 set and slightly overhang the longer curved edge along the crease line. Die-cut to create a shaped card blank. Die-cut gold mirror card with the largest Gilded Rectangles 3 die, then affix with Art Glitter dries-clear glue to the front of the card blank. Edge with a Quickie glue pen along the debossed line, then sprinkle with Glass Slipper Sparkelicious glitter.

2 Die-cut the second-largest Gilded Rectangles 3 die on a sheet of the gold and blue snowflakes patterned paper from the Starlit Christmas paper pad. Edge with a Quickle glue pen along the debossed line, then sprinkle with Glass Slipper Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the gold panel with foam pads.

3 Take the double-sided adhesive sheet and stick one side to a sheet of Opal pearl card. Die-cut with the fourth-largest Gilded Rectangles 3 die. Peel off the top layer of the adhesive sheet so the Opal card is sticky. Cover in Glass Slipper Sparkelicious glitter, then knock or sweep off the excess glitter. Affix to the paper panel with foam pads.

4 Die-cut the Starlit Merry Christmas die and three trees (two large and one small) in gold mirror card.

5 Using Art Glitter dries-clear glue, fix the Merry Christmas sentiment to the middle of the glittered Gilded Rectangles 3 panel. Finally, using 3D glue gel, adhere the trees underneath the Merry Christmas sentiment in the following order: large, small, large.
