12 Projects of Christmas 2024 - Day 3 - Snowflake Wishes

Welcome to day three of our highly-popular 12 Projects of Christmas series! Today's creation has been masterfully created by the wonderful Rebecca and is a dark dramatic piece. Rebecca has focused on the Winter Wonderland collection for this project tutorial and has kept it simple but very effective, so is perfect for beginners and more experienced crafters alike. Read on for full instructions on how to make this magnificent Christmas card.

As with every tutorial in this series, we've created FREE project sheets and you will find the link to today's PDF download sheet at the bottom of the instructions below.

What you'll need:

      How to make:

1 Die-cut the largest decagon from an 8x8” card blank to create a shaped card blank. Remember to overhang the die slightly on the spine edge to keep it intact. Die-cut the same die from white cardstock. Affix to the shaped card blank using dries-clear glue. Die-cut the second decagon die from Lapis Lazuli pearl card and affix to the card blank using foam pads. Die-cut the third decagon from Crystal White pearl card and emboss using the Blizzard embossing folder. Edge this panel with a chisel-tip glue pen and cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Die-cut the fifth decagon from silver mirror card and the sixth die from Lapis Lazuli pearl card. Affix both layers to the card using foam pads.

2 Die-cut the snowflakes from Crystal White pearl card. Cover using a chisel-tip glue pen and cover in Stardust Silver Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Die-cut a second snowflake panel from Crystal White pearl card and cut out the centre snowflake. Apply dries-clear glue to the edges and cover in Sleigh Bells Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using 3D glue gel. Add a sparkler to the centre of the large snowflakes.

3 Stamp out the sentiment onto Lapis Lazuli pearl card using a clear embossing inkpad and heat-emboss using Opaque Bright White embossing powder. Trim and layer onto silver mirror card. Affix to the card using foam pads.

4 Tie a double bow and affix to the corner of the sentiment using 3D glue gel. Add a sparkler to the centre. Add a few gems around the snowflakes to finish the card.
