Baby Blue Bunny - Baby Collection Card Tutorial

Baby Blue Bunny - Baby Collection Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Today's card tutorial, crafted by our talented Christine, uses the brand-new Baby collection and is perfect for welcoming a new baby boy into the world. Of course, if it's a little girl making her grand entrance, a quick change of colourway and sentiment is all that's needed to make it perfect for her!

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with a materials list that has been linked so you can click on each product to go to its respective web page, making it easy for you to shop.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Create a scalloped card blank using the largest die from the Dainty Squares die set. Using the same die, cut a panel from Crystal White pearl card, edge with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, and affix to the card blank using foam pads.

2 Die-cut a panel from Vista pearl card using the second-largest die from the Dainty Squares die set and affix to the card front using foam pads. Trim a sheet of check patterned paper from the Baby paper pad to 6¾” square, edge with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, and attach to the card front using foam pads.

3 Die-cut a sheet of Crystal White pearl card using the fourth-largest Dainty Squares die, then emboss using the Baby Footprints Background embossing folder. Colour the footprint areas with a blue marker pen, cover the footprints with dries-clear glue, then cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Also edge the panel with the same glitter. Wrap a length of blue chiffon ribbon around this layer and secure on the reverse. Affix to the card front using foam pads.

4 Die-cut a sheet of Vista pearl card using the seventh-largest Dainty Circles die and affix to the card front with foam pads, as shown.

5 Die-cut a sheet of Crystal White pearl card using the eighth-largest die from the Dainty Circles die set. Stamp the baby boy sentiment onto the circle using the embossing inkpad, cover with Bejewelled Blue embossing powder and heat set. Edge with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter and affix to the card front using foam pads.

6 Stamp the bunny onto smooth white card using the Versafine Clair Morning Mist inkpad, cover with Clear Gloss Superfine embossing powder and heat set. Lightly colour in the bunny with pale grey marker pens and die-cut using the corresponding die. When colouring, leave the ears white and colour the paws blue. Cover the bunny with dries-clear glue and Glass Slipper Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card front, as shown, using foam pads.

7 Using the blue chiffon ribbon, attach a bow to the left of the sentiment with 3D glue gel. Add a bling stone to the centre of the bow and three Totally Turquoise Self-Adhesive Sparkles to the sentiment circle to finish.
