Delightful Daisies Wooden Plaque Project by Rebecca Houghton

Hello crafters,

I've got a brand new project for you to get your hands on today!  Have you ever wondered how to make those beautiful wooden decor plaques that seem to be popping up on our Pinterest feeds?  

Rebecca has been working up a storm with our Chloes Creative Cards range this month and this project is no exception. Rebecca has whipped up this amazing Wooden Floral Plaque that you can display in your home as a beautiful wall hanging decoration.

You will need: 

 How to make it:

1. Apply dries clear glue mixed with a little bit of water to the mdf plaque and affix to a piece of patterned paper from the watercolour washes paper pad. Leave to dry. Once dry cut around the plaque carefully. Add dries clear glue around the edge of the paper and cover in silver crystal glitter.  

2. Take a sheet of blue patterned paper from the Summer meadows paper pad  and stamp out 4 of each of the daisies and heat emboss using opaque bright white wow powder. Cut with the co ordinating dies. Shape with your fingers and stick together two of each of the flowers together using 3d glue gel. Add dots of dries clear glue to the flowers and cover in sweetheart sparkelicious glitter. Add a bling stone to the centre of each flower.  

3. Using the largest daisy flower stamp and stamp two onto some pink paper from the watercolour washes paper pad and heat emboss using opaque bright white wow powder. Attach together, offsetting the petals, using 3d glue gel. Add a bling stone and some clear crystals to the centre of the flower. 

4. Arrange the flowers on the plaque and affix using 3d glue gel. 
 
5. Stamp out the small leaf stamp from the spring foliage set 5 times onto some heat resistant acetate using Appletini wow powder. Apply dries clear glue to the back and cover in parakeet sparkelicious glitter. Once dry tuck behind the flowers using 3d glue gel. Using the swirl foliage stamp, stamp out 3 times on heat resistant acetate using rose mist wow powder. Trim to size and tuck between the flowers, filling in any gaps.  

6. Apply a few dots of glue to the background and cover in sweetheart glitter. Add a few more dots of glue and add some clear crystals.  

7. Taking the larger word stamps from the set, stamp out onto some crystal white pearl card. heat emboss using metallic silver superfine wow powder. Trim using a guillotine and Matt and layer onto some pink patterned paper. Trim again and affix to the plaque using foam pads.  

8. Add some pink ribbon through the holes of the plaque and tie at the back.
