Floral Flutter Butterfly - Floral Frames and Flutters Collection Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Today, we have this sunny, cheery card tutorial for you by the super-talented Glynis! Sending a card like this to anyone is bound to brighten anyone's day, so spend some time creating this beautiful card, made using a range of items from the brand-new Floral Frames and Flutters collection along with a selection of coordinating products.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with full materials list. To view the product page for each individual product, simply click on the product name and you'll be directed to its dedicated page.

YOU WILL NEED:

        INSTRUCTIONS:

Trim down three different size matts in Azalea mirror card, Crystal White pearl card, and printed paper from the Fabulous Florals and Flutter paper pad. Go around the four sides of the Crystal White panel using Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, then matt and layer all three together and secure onto the base card.

2 From the 6x6” Decorative Squares die set, cut numbers one and three from Azalea mirror card, number two from patterned paper from the Fabulous Florals and Flutters paper pad, and number four in paper from the Flower Power paper pad. Matt and layer each of the patterned papers to white card, go around the edges using Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter, and adhere to the correct decorative die-cut frame. Secure each one to the main card using foam pads.

3 Stamp and heat-emboss one of the Butterfly Dreams butterflies twice onto acetate using Bright White embossing powder and the embossing inkpad. Turn the acetate over and, working from the back, apply Art Glitter glue and cover with Cupid and Lemon Sorbet Sparkelicious glitter. For the second stamped image, apply just the Lemon Sorbet glitter to the middle of the butterfly. Fussy cut when they are both completely dry. A good tip when doing this is to use dark glitters first and allow to dry a little bit before applying the lighter glitters. Die-cut the outer butterfly and lacy butterfly in white and colour using the Oxide inkpads. Adhere all three together using Pinflair glue gel, then secure pearls from the Chloe’s Favourites Bling Box and attach to the middle of the topper.

4 Using the Elegant Flower die set, die-cut the flowers numerous times in white card and colour with the Oxide ink. For the lacy flowers, cover with Crystallina glitter after colouring. Cut the Stamen die using Azalea mirror card and cover the tips with Lemon Sorbet Sparkelicious glitter. Shape the petals and adhere together with Pinflair glue gel, securing the stamens and pearls to the middle of each flower. Die-cut the Leafy Foliage in Azalea mirror card and affix the foliage and flowers onto the main card with Pinflair glue gel.

5 Stamp and heat-emboss the sentiment onto white card, die-cut with the die from the set, and adhere to the base card with foam pads to finish.

This is such a beautiful card. Some step by step pictures of making the butterfly and flowers would be helpful for those of us who haven’t done anything like this before. Is that possible?

        Rosemary,
