Gingerbread People - Candy Cane Lane Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

We have an adorable Christmas card to share with you today, featuring a super-cute gingerbread couple, all dressed up for the festive period! Our super-talented Design Team member, Glynis has created this eye-catching card, made using the latest release - Candy Cane Lane, with stunning results.

Using the largest die from the Basic Circle die set, cut using A4 white cardstock and fold in half. Die-cut the second circle from the set from red mirror card, cut in half, then attach to the previous die-cut piece.

2 Die-cut the largest die from the Decorative Circle Frame die set in Crystal White pearl card, go around the outer edges using Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, thread the thin red ribbon through the holes and then secure the die-cut panel onto the main card. Matt and layer two smaller circles from the Basic Circle die set in red mirror card and patterned paper from the Candy Cane Lane paper pad. Go around the edges of the patterned paper die-cut circle with Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter, then matt and layer onto the Decorative Circle panel.

3 Using the Basic Circle die set, cut a medium-sized circle in red mirror card, then, using a smaller circle, die-cut one in Crystal White pearl card and one from the A4 double-sided sticky sheet. Blend the Festive Berries Oxide ink around the outer edges of the Crystal White pearl die-cut panel, attach the A4 double-sided sticky sheet die-cut panel, remove the top, and cover with Chunky Crystallina glitter. Attach to the red mirror card die-cut panel and secure onto the main card with foam pads.

4 Stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut the Gingerbread People from the stamp and die set onto Crystal White pearl card using Versafine Clair Black ink and WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder. Stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut the bow three times from the Candy Cane stamp and die set. Colour with the marker pens, decorate with Diamante Sparkle and Stardust Silver Sparkelicious glitter, plus jewels from the Favourites Bling Box for the Gingerbread people, and use Happy Holly Days Sparkelicious glitter for the bow. Attach all the images to the main card with Pinflair glue gel or foam pads.

5 Stamp and heat-emboss the sentiment from the Gingerbread Sentiment stamp set onto Crystal White card, then colour and add Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter. When dry, die-cut using a small circle from the Basic Circle die set, then matt and layer onto a slightly larger die-cut circle and attach to the main card with foam pads.
