Happy Christmas - Elegant Christmas Card Tutorial – Chloes Creative Cards

Today, we have a multi-dimensional-looking festive card to share with you, created by our very talented Design Team member, Glynis. Featuring a wide range of items from the brand-new Elegant Christmas collection, Glynis has produced this wonderful Christmas card in a colour palette reminiscent of a vintage style.

Festive Fancies Bling Box
Decorative Square Frame die set
Pearl card – Crystal White
Mirror card – Red
WOW! clear embossing inkpad
WOW! embossing powder – Metallic Gold and Twinkling Lights
Stamps by Chloe embossing powder – Frosted Fir and Festive Branches
Sparkelicious glitter – Mystical Moonlight, Crystallina, and Diamante Sparkle
Range Distress Oxide inkpad – Evergreen Bough
Glossy Accents
Foam pads on a roll
Art Glitter Dries-Clear glue
Pinflair glue gel
8x8” white straight-edged card blank
Red marker pen
Heat tool
Die-cutting machine

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Trim a sheet of patterned paper from the Elegant Christmas foiled paper pad to just under 8x8” and adhere to the base card.

2 Die-cut the first and second dies from the Decorative Square Frame die set in Crystal White pearl card and edge the four sides of each piece with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Matt and layer onto the largest die-cut panel red mirror card and patterned foiled paper from the pad, glittering around the four sides of this piece with Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter, and attach to the base card with foam pads. Matt and layer red mirror card onto the second die-cut panel and adhere to the base card.

3 Trim Crystal White pearl card down to size for the next matt, then stamp and heat-emboss using the small branch stamp from the Christmas Branches stamp and die set around the outside using Festive Branches embossing powder. Repeat this process, this time using Twinkling Lights embossing powder. Stamp and heat-emboss again a few times using the Frosted Fir embossing powder. Blend the Evergreen Bough Oxide ink on the edges only, and then matt and layer onto the base card.

4 Stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut numerous large branches from the Christmas Branches stamp and die set onto Crystal White pearl card using the Twinkling Lights and Festive Branches embossing powders. Add Crystallina and Mystical Moonlight Sparkelicious glitter, and attach to the top layer with Pinflair glue gel.

5 Stamp, heat-emboss, and die-cut the baubles using the WOW Metallic Gold embossing powder. Colour with the marker pens, add Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter, cover the non-glittered parts with Glossy Accents, and attach a jewel from the Festive Fancies Bling Box. Secure into place with Pinflair glue gel. Stamp, heat-emboss, and die-cut the small bows, colour with the marker pens, and apply Glossy Accents. When completely dry, secure into place with Pinflair glue gel, adding a jewel from the Bling Box to the centres.

6 Stamp and heat-emboss the sentiment from the Elegant Christmas Verse stamp set using Metallic Gold embossing powder. Matt and layer onto red mirror card and adhere to the main card with a foam pad to finish.
