Lilac Happy Birthday - Botanical Blooms Collection Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

We have a gorgeous card tutorial for you today, designed using a luscious lilac colourway for a delightful birthday card. Crafted by the talented Rebecca and using items from the Botanical Blooms launch, this card is surprisingly quick and easy to create.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with a materials list linked so you can click each product to be taken to its respective web page, making it easy to shop.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Trim a sheet of foiled paper to 7¾” square and affix to the card using foam pads. Die-cut the largest pearly square from Crystal White pearl card and affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Affix a pearl to the centre of each circle.

2 Trim a sheet of fibre form card to 5x7” and emboss using the Blossoming Flowers 3D embossing folder. Matt and layer onto an Amethyst pearl card panel, then affix to the card using foam pads. Add a pearl to the centre of each flower.

3 Stamp out ‘happy birthday’ onto white pearl card using a clear embossing inkpad and heat-emboss with Purple Cosmos embossing powder. Die-cut using the coordinating die and affix to the card using foam pads.

4 Cut and emboss three large, six medium and six small flowers from Amethyst pearl card. Shape the petals by creating a valley fold down the centre. Apply dots of dries-clear glue to the centres of all the flowers and cover in Lilac Frost Sparkelicious glitter. Layer together and affix to the card using 3D glue gel. Add a Sparkler or pearl to the centre of each of the flowers.

5 Cut out some of the leaves from the Foiled Foliage pad and glitter the back using dries-clear glue and Grasshopper Sparkelicious glitter. Once dry, tuck in behind the flowers.

6 Die cut a sheet of the tiny vellum butterflies using the coordinating die. Pull up the wings on a few butterflies and apply small dots of dries-clear glue, then cover in Lilac Frost Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using 3D glue gel.
