Makes You Happy - 8x8" Dies and Folders Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Today, we have a bright, colourful birthday card for you, made by the gorgeous Glynis and using the 8x8" Scalloped and Pierced nesting dies, the Decadent Dots embossing folder, and Beautiful Butterfly Frame stamp and die set. This is a lovely, cheery design that allows you to really go to town with your Sparkelicious glitters - perfect if your recipient is a bling queen!

YOU WILL NEED: 

• Decadent Dots embossing folder
• Scalloped and Pierced die sets – Squares and Circles
• Basic Circles die set
• Beautiful Butterfly Frame stamp and die set
• Sparkelicious glitter – Lime Zing, Crystallina, Lemon Sorbet, and Flamingo
• 8x8” paper pad – Fabulous Florals and Flutters
• Mirror card – Azalea
• White card
• Versafine Clair Black inkpad
• WOW! embossing powder – Clear Gloss
• Foam pads on a roll
• Pinflair 3D glue gel
• Art Glitter Dries-Clear glue
• A4 double-sided sticky sheet
• 8x8" white straight-edged card blank
• Heat tool
• Die-cutting machine

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Place the top of the largest die from the Scalloped and Pierced Square die set just over the fold on the base card and die cut. Using the same size die, cut a single piece in white card and attach to the base card, so the four sides are all showing a scalloped edge.

2 From the same die set, cut number two from Azalea mirror card and number three from white card. Go around the four sides of the second piece with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Using die number four, die-cut using patterned paper from the Fabulous Florals and Flutter paper pad. Attach the largest die-cut panel to the main card, then matt and layer the patterned paper die-cut panel to Azalea mirror card. Secure onto the white scalloped die-cut panel and attach to the base card with foam pads. Die-cut the fifth die from the set from Azalea mirror card and the sixth die from white card, glittering around the edges of the white die-cut piece with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, and secure onto the main card with foam pads.

3 Trim a sheet of patterned paper from the Fabulous Florals and Flutter paper pad to fit the topper. Attach to a scrap piece of card using the A4 double-sided sticky sheet for extra durability, then emboss with the Decadent Dots embossing folder and secure in place. Using the Scalloped and Pierced Circle die set, cut number six in Azalea mirror card and number seven in white card. Go around all the sides using Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, then secure both together and attach to the main card with foam pads.

4 Stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut the Beautiful Butterfly Frame stamp and die set using Versafine Clair Black inkpad and Clear Gloss embossing powder onto white card. Colour with the marker pens and glitter with the assorted Sparkelicious glitters using the Art Glitter Glue. Matt and layer onto the circle topper using foam pads. Stamp and heat-emboss a second time, then die-cut the butterflies, colour, and glitter, as before, and attach to the main image using Pinflair glue gel.

5 Stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut the sentiment using a die from the Basic Circle die set and attach to the main card with foam pads to finish.
