Makes You Happy - Pretty Peonies Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

If you enjoy making dimensional, nature-inspired creations with a touch of bling, then today's card tutorial will be right up your street! Made using the brand-new Pretty Peonies collection, designer Glynis has crafted a truly magnificent card layout that could be adapted for so many occasions.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with a materials list that has been linked so you can click on each product to go to its respective web page, making it easy for you to shop.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Place the top of the largest die from the Gilded Squares 2 die set just over the fold on the base card and pass through the die-cutting machine. Using the same die, cut a single panel in white card. Glitter the debossed lines using Art Glitter glue and Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter. When dry, affix to the main card.

2 Using the other dies from the set, die-cut in Azalea mirror card and patterned paper from the Pretty Peonies paper pad. Glitter the debossed lines, as before, then matt and layer and secure onto the main card with foam pads.

3 Stamp and heat-emboss the sentiment from the Beautiful Butterfly Frame stamp and die set onto white card using black ink and Clear Gloss embossing powder. Die-cut using the Gilded Squares 2 die set. Matt and layer onto an Azalea mirror card die-cut panel and affix to the base card with foam pads.

4 Emboss the butterflies from the Delightful Butterfly 3D embossing folder, stamp and die set in white card. Die-cut and gently blend the Kitsch Flamingo Oxide ink over each one. From the Printed Ombre vellum pad, emboss the butterflies twice for each one and die-cut. Attach the three pieces together using 3D glue gel and decorate with Pretty Pink sparkles. Secure onto the base card with 3D glue gel.

5 Using the 3D bow die, cover Azalea pearl card with Deep Pink Sparkelicious glitter and die-cut. Assemble the bow, attach a 12mm Sparkler to the middle, and secure onto the base card to finish.
