Orange Birthday Bouquet - Build a Bouquet Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Today's pretty floral fold-back card, from our talented Design Team member, Glynis, uses a selection of items from the brand-new Build a Bouquet collection. Using different folds, like this one, in your cardmaking projects allows you to create interesting pop-out detail.

YOU WILL NEED: 

• Beautiful Bouquet Bloom stamp and die set
• String Bow die set
• Bouquet Builder stamp set
• Floral Frames Nesting die set
• Basic Oval nesting die set
• Leafy Foliage die set
• Stamen Die Set
• Birthday Frame stamp set
• Mirror card – Rose Quartz and Silver
• Pearl card – Crystal White 
• Pastel Sorbet Collection paper pad
• Watercolour Washes Vellum
• Sparkelicious glitter – Fiesta, Diamante Sparkle, and Crystal Crush
• Bling Box – Leafy Lace
• Large jewels
• Green marker pen
• WOW! embossing powder – Uptown, Clear Gloss and Bright White
• WOW! clear embossing inkpad
• Versafine Clair inkpad – Black
• 3D foam pads on a roll
• Pinflair 3D glue gel
• Art Glitter Dries-Clear PVA glue
• 8x8" white straight-edged card blank
• Heat tool
• Scoreboard
• Die-cutting machine

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Score a line halfway from the top to the bottom of the front of the card and fold forwards. Matt and layer paper from the Pastel Sorbet collection pad onto the three sections.

2 Using the largest die from the Flower nesting die set, cut this twice in Crystal White Pearl card and go around all around the edges with Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Cut one in half for the two small panels and secure all the pieces to the main card, then matt and layer Rose Quartz mirror card on top. Trim three more panels in paper from the Pastel Sorbet collection pad, stamp and heat-emboss a corner stamp from the Birthday Frame stamp set into each corner of the panels using Bright White embossing powder, then matt and layer all three pieces onto the base card.

3 Using the Basic Oval die set, cut number eight in Rose Quartz mirror card and number nine in Crystal White card. Stamp and heat-emboss the main stamp from the Bouquet Builder stamp set into the middle of the Crystal White oval die-cut piece. Colour the leaves with the green marker pens and glitter with Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. From this set stamp, heat-emboss, colour, and glitter a few more leaves as extra foliage.

4 Using the Beautiful Bouquet Bloom stamp and die set, stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut the flowers onto paper from the Pastel Sorbet collection pad and the Watercolour Washes Vellum numerous times using Bright White embossing powder. Add Fiesta Sparkelicious glitter to the petals and, when dry, shape and adhere together. Die-cut the stamens in silver mirror card, decorate with the pearls from the Leafy Lace Bling Box and Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter, then secure into the middle of each flower and attach a large jewel, glittered with Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter.

5 Die-cut the Leafy Foliage in silver mirror card and the String Bows in Rose Quartz mirror card. Matt and layer the white oval onto the Rose Quartz die-cut panel, attach to the front of the card with foam pads, then secure the flowers, foliage, and string bows to the topper with Pinflair glue gel.

6 For the inside, die-cut the third and fourth dies from the Flower nesting die set in Crystal White pearl card and go around the four sides of each piece with Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Adhere the largest onto the base card with foam tape.

7 Stamp and heat-emboss the verse from the Birthday Frame stamp set onto Crystal White pearl card using Versafine Clair Black ink and Clear Gloss embossing powder. Matt and layer onto Rose Quartz mirror card, then onto the smaller Flower nesting die-cut panel. Matt and layer onto Rose Quartz mirror card and secure onto the base card to finish.
