Pink Poinsettias - Gilded Christmas Card Tutorial

Pink Poinsettias - Gilded Christmas Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

We have a beautiful floral Christmas card tutorial for you today, crafted by the talented Christine. This pretty pink design, created using the brand new Gilded Christmas collection, is perfect for those who like a mix of contemporary and traditional styles in their festive creations.

Read on for a full, step-by-step project tutorial, complete with a materials list that has been linked, allowing you to click on each product and be directed to its respective web page, making shopping easy.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Create a shaped card blank using the largest die from the Gilded Square die set. Remember to slightly overhang the die over the spine to avoid cutting it into two pieces. Using the same die, cut a sheet of Crystal White pearl card. Add Diamanté Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter to the debossed area around the edge and affix to the card blank using foam pads.

2 Die-cut a sheet of snowflake-patterned paper from the Gilded Christmas foiled paper pad using the second-largest die from the Gilded Squares die set and affix to the card front using foam pads. Die-cut Crystal White pearl card using the third-largest die from the same set. Emboss this panel using the Poinsettia embossing folder, positioning the embossed area to the left of the panel.

3 Stamp the Christmas verse onto the right side of the card, as shown, using embossing inkpad, cover with Polished Silver Super Fine embossing powder, and heat set. Glitter the debossed area around the edge with Silver Frost Sparkelicious glitter and affix to the card front using foam pads.

4 Using Dries-Clear glue, glitter all of the embossed areas as follows: holly leaves with Get Down n’ Boogie, ferns with Silver Frost, large berry branch with Diamanté Sparkle, small berry branch with Pink Champagne, and the pine cone with Glass Slipper.

5 Stamp three large and three medium pink poinsettias from the Printed Christmas Flower Ombre vellum pad using the clear embossing inkpad, cover with Mercury Glass embossing powder and heat set. Die-cut the flowers using the corresponding dies.

6 Stamp one large and one medium poinsettia onto heat-resistant acetate using clear embossing ink, cover with Mercury Glass embossing powder and heat set. Fussy cut the flowers, then add dots of Dries-Clear adhesive to the petals and sprinkle with Silver Gilt Sparkelicious glitter. Layer up the flowers using 3D glue gel to give three vellum layers for each flower and an acetate layer on top. Add a Sparkler to the centre of each flower. To finish, add some Sparkling Silver Self-Adhesive Sparkles to the card front, as shown.
