Poinsettia Bauble - Elegant Christmas Card Tutorial

Today, we have a bold, bling-tastic Christmas card tutorial for you, lovingly created by the super Rebecca. Made using the new Elegant Christmas collection, Rebecca has created this eye-catching masterpiece in bright reds, green, silver, and white.

YOU WILL NEED: 

• Elegant Christmas collection:
• Christmas Branch die and stamp set
• Poinsettia Bauble die and stamp set
• Starry Night DL stamp set 
• Elegant Christmas 8x8” foiled paper pad
• Sparkelicious glitter – Stardust Green and Champagne Shimmer
• WOW! embossing powder – Golden Glow and Hollywood Hills
• Pearl card – Jupiter, Fairway, and Crystal White
• Gold mirror card
• Bling Box – Festive Fancies
• Art Glitter Dries-Clear glue with fine-tip applicator
• Chloe’s Creative Cards chisel-tip glue pen
• Pinflair 3D glue gel
• 3mm foam pads on a roll
• Bling stone 
• Thin red ribbon
• 8x8” white straight-edged card blank
• WOW! heat tool
• Die-cutting machine

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Trim a sheet of Fairway pearl card to 7¾” square, edge using a chisel-tip glue pen, and cover in Stardust Green Sparkelicious glitter.  Affix to the card blank using dries-clear glue. Trim Jupiter pearl card down to 7½” and affix to the card using foam pads. Trim a sheet of Elegant Christmas foiled paper to 7¼” square and affix to the card base using dries-clear glue.

2 Trim Jupiter pearl card down to 6½” square and affix to the card using foam pads. Trim Crystal White pearl card to 6¼” square. Stamp out the Starry Night image twice to create a full background, using a clear embossing inkpad. Heat-emboss using Golden Glow embossing powder. Affix to the card using foam pads.

3 Stamp out one large and two small branches onto Crystal White pearl card and heat-emboss using Hollywood Hills embossing powder. Die-cut using coordinating dies. Add a few flicks of green marker to the branches. Affix onto the card using 3D glue gel. Add a few lines of glue to the branches and cover in Stardust Green Sparkelicious glitter.

4 Die-cut two large baubles from Jupiter pearl card. Stamp out the bauble centre using a clear embossing inkpad and heat set using Golden Glow embossing powder. Affix to the card using foam pads. Die-cut two of the bauble tops from gold mirror card and add them to the top of each bauble. Tie two triple bows and add to the top of each bauble. Add a bling stone to the centre.

5 Stamp out six large poinsettias onto Jupiter pearl paper using clear embossing ink. Heat-emboss using Golden Glow embossing powder. Create a valley fold down the centre of each petal and glue together three poinsettias. Add a few dots of glue to the centre and cover in Champagne Shimmer Sparkelicious glitter. Add to the card using 3D glue gel. Cover two pearls from the Bling Box in Dries-Clear glue and then in Champagne Shimmer Sparkelicious glitter. Once dry, affix to the centre of each poinsettia.

6 Die-cut two of the holly leaves and apply glue to the leaves using a chisel-tip glue pen. Cover in Stardust Green Sparkelicious glitter and tuck in behind the poinsettias using 3D glue gel.

7 Stamp out one of the sentiments using a clear embossing ink and heat-emboss using Golden Glow embossing powder. Carefully trim around and affix to the card using foam pads.
