Hello Crafters,

This is a card that you can have lots of fun with as it combines embossing, die-cutting, stamping, inking, and distressing. Christine has used many items from the new Flower Builder collection, and the results are truly stunning.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with a materials list that has been linked so you can click on each product to be sent to its respective web page, making it easy for you to shop.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Trim a sheet of spotted rainbow paper to 7¾” square, edge with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, and affix to the card front using foam pads. Trim Crystal White pearl card to 7¼” square, edge with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, and affix to the card front using foam pads.

2 Trim a sheet of smooth white card to 6¾” square. Using the Flower Swirl embossing folder, emboss the left-hand side of the card. Turn the embossing folder the other way around and emboss the right-hand side of the card, as shown.

3 Using the ink-blending brushes, apply Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink across the top-left corner of the card and repeat this across the entire panel with Spun Sugar, Kitsch Flamingo, Dried Marigold, Squeezed Lemonade, and Cracked Pistachio, finishing with Broken China on the bottom-right corner. Blend the inks by slightly overlapping each colour as you go. Using fine sandpaper, lightly sand the raised embossed areas to show the white card behind and add Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter to the white areas using dries-clear adhesive. Edge with Chunky Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter and affix to the card front using foam pads.

4 Using the seventh-largest Pierced and Scalloped Oval die, cut from Crystal White pearl card. Stamp the rainbow sentiment onto the centre of the oval using the embossing inkpad, cover with Polished Silver Super Fine embossing powder and heat set. Edge with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter and affix to the centre of the card front using foam pads.

5 Remove three large yellow flowers and three medium pink flowers from the Flower Ombré vellum paper pad. Stamp each flower with clear embossing ink using the corresponding stamps from the Flower Swirl set, cover with White Pearl Super Fine embossing powder and heat set.

6 Add dots of dries-clear adhesive to the stamped stamen design and sprinkle with Chunky Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Layer up the flowers using 3D glue gel to give you one large yellow flower and one medium pink flower, as shown. Add a 12mm Sparkler to the centre of the large flower and a 10mm Sparkler to the centre of the medium flower. Affix the flowers to the card front, as shown, using 3D glue gel.

7 Stamp two leafy branches from the Fresh Foliage set onto white vellum using the clear embossing inkpad, then cover with Opaque Bright White Super Fine embossing powder and heat set. Die-cut the branches using the corresponding die and affix to either side of the flowers using glue gel. Add assorted coloured self-adhesive sparkles to the scalloped oval to finish.
