The 12 Projects of Christmas - Day 1 - Christmas Magnolia

Hello Christmas Crafters!
Welcome to the first of our 12 Projects of Christmas series! Starting today, we will be sharing a different festive project every day, for the next 12 days.
Kickstarting the series is this spectacular, sparkly card using a variety of dies and Sparkelicious glitter. If you are a bling lover, you are going to adore making this creation! The flowers made cab be used for lots of different applications - add them to tags, create beautiful gift boxes and bags, adapt them for hanging decorations, incorporate them into box-frame masterpieces, and much more!
Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Trim a sheet of Mars pearl card down to 7¾” square and affix to the card blank using Dries-Clear glue. Next, trim a sheet of foiled paper to 7½” square and affix to the card using foam pads.

2 Die-cut the star and snowflake from a piece of Mars pearl card and affix to the card using foam pads. Cut a piece of gold mirror card slightly smaller to fit inside the frame and affix using Dries-Clear glue. Cut another piece of Mars card, slightly smaller again, and affix. Cut a piece of white pearl card, again slightly smaller, and edge using a chisel-tip glue pen. Cover in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads.

3 Die-cut the oval die number 11 from gold mirror card and add to the centre of the card using foam pads. Die-cut a piece of Mars pearl card, with an adhesive sheet over the top, with oval die number 12. Peel off the protective layer and cover in Red Velvet Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads.

4 Die-cut one of the outer layers of the Merry Christmas die from gold mirror card and then the fine layer from Mars pearl card. Glue together using Dries-Clear glue. Add a small crystal to the dot on the ‘I’, as shown in the image. Affix to the card using foam pads.

5 Stamp out two large and four medium five-petal magnolias onto Mars pearl paper. Heat-emboss using Opaque Bright White Wow! embossing powder. Stamp one large and two medium of the three-petal flower and heat-emboss. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Shape the flowers by creating mountain folds in the five-petal flowers and curling upwards for the three-petal ones. Layer together using Dries-Clear glue. Add a large pearl to the centre of each. Affix using 3D glue gel into the corners of the card.

6 Stamp out five holly leaves from the Winter Foliage set onto Crystal White pearl card. Heat-emboss using O’ Christmas Tree Wow! embossing powder. Die-cut using coordinating dies, then colour in using alcohol markers. Add Red Velvet Sparkelicious glitter to the berries and Holly Leaves Sparkelicious glitter to the leaves. Shape by creating a valley fold in each of the leaves and tuck in behind the magnolias, securing using 3D glue gel.

7 Stamp out four of the branch stamps onto heat-resistant acetate and heat-emboss using St Tropez Sands Wow! embossing powder. Trim around and tuck in behind the holly leaves. To finish, add a few crystals from the Bling Box to the corners of the card.
