What a vision in purple today's card tutorial, using the new Pretty Peonies collection is! The talented Rebecca has designed this card with birthdays in mind, however, this layout would also work for such a wide range of other occasions, including anniversaries, thinking of you, and thank you cards.

YOU WILL NEED:

- 3D embossing folder and dies set – Peony Flower
- 8x8” embossing folder – Peony Background
- 8x8” designer paper pad – Pretty Peonies
- 5x7” vellum – Printed Pretty Peonies Ombre
- 6x6” nesting dies – Decorative Circles
- 8x8” scalloped and pierced nesting dies – Ovals
- Stamp and die set – Beautiful Butterfly Frame
- Luxury pearl card – Crystal White and Punch
- Luxury white vellum
- Foiled acetate – Fabulous Foliage
- Sparkelicious glitter – Glass Slipper, Crystallina, Grasshopper, and Romantic Rose
- WOW! embossing powder – Metallic Silver Superfine
- Bling Box refills
- Sparklers – 10mm and 12mm
- Purple and green alcohol markers
- Distress Oxide inkpad – Seedless Preserves and Shabby Shutters
- WOW! clear embossing inkpad
- Art Glitter Dries-clear PVA glue with fine-tip applicator
- Pinflair 3D glue gel
- Chisel-tip glue pen
- Foam pads on a roll
- 8x8” white straight-edged card blank
- WOW! heat tool
- Die-cutting machine
INSTRUCTIONS:
1 Trim Crystal White pearl card to 7¾” square. Ink around the edges with Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide ink. Once dry, edge with a chisel-tip glue pen and cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card bank using dries-clear glue.
2 Trim a sheet of Punch pearl card to 7¼” square and affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Trim a sheet of white card to 7” square and edge with Glass Slipper Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads.
3 Trim Crystal White pearl card to 6¾” square and emboss using the Peony Background embossing folder. Colour in the embossed details using alcohol markers. Apply glue to the leaves and cover with Grasshopper Sparkelicious glitter. Apply glue to the flowers and cover with Crystallina glitter. Once dry, affix to the card using foam pads.
4 Die-cut a decorative circle frame from Crystal White pearl card. Edge with a chisel-tip glue pen and cover in Glass Slipper Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the centre of the card using a double layer of foam pads. Die-cut a smaller circle and stamp out the verse from the Beautiful Butterfly Frame set using an embossing inkpad and heat-emboss using Metallic Silver Superfine embossing powder. Affix to the card using foam pads.
5 Emboss three sheets of peony vellum using the folder and die-cut using the coordinating dies. Shape the petals, layer together three of each size, and glue into place. Dab dries-clear glue to the edges of the petals and cover in Glass Slipper Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using 3D glue gel. Die-cut some of the stamens from Punch pearl card and affix to the centres of the flowers.
6 Colour three Sparklers using a purple alcohol marker and affix into the centre of each of the peonies. Die-cut some of the leaves from white vellum. Ink the back using Shabby Shutters Distress ink and affix to the card behind the flowers. Cut out some foiled swirls, apply dots of dries-clear glue to them and cover in Romantic Rose Sparkelicious glitter. Once dry, carefully tuck these in behind the flowers to finish.
