Hi Crafty Friend, welcome to our 20th February weekly roundup!


We entered the Year of the Horse this week, but it's not just any normal horse; it's a fire horse, which, according to tradition, symbolises freedom and energy, and rewards those who believe in themselves and learn as they go. Which is great news for us crafters, as this is the year to unleash our creative freedom, learn new techniques, and generally believe in our talents more! I'm all for it, and can't wait to see what this new lunar year brings.   

To start as we mean to go on, this week we can learn TWO new card designs, both using the recent Pretty Peonies collection, with our Blog Post of the Week and YouTube of the Week. Whether you prefer learning through step-by-step written instructions or visual guides, we have you covered! Pink Butterfly Card Tutorial

YouTube of the Week...


Pretty Pink Peonies Card Tutorial

I chose this Pretty Pink Peonies card for our YouTube of the Week because I love how realistic the flowers are, and I thought it would be a good tutorial to show how you can achieve the look yourself. I have used the recent Pretty Peonies launch for this look, and I hope that you find the video tutorial both aspirational and educational. Although the example here uses a birthday greeting, you could easily replace it with themes for other occasions, from congratulations and 'thank you' to anniversaries and 'thinking of you'.  
 
As with all of our YouTube of the Week card tutorials, you can craft along at your own pace... pause, rewind, and take your time as you go. Both Rebecca and I always share plenty of helpful hints and tips throughout each project in our video tutorials, making them ideal for both beginners finding their feet and more experienced crafters looking to pick up new ideas. It’s the next best thing to having us right there beside you, guiding you in a one-to-one workshop from the comfort of your own craft space.
