Birthday Magnolias - Leafy Lace Collection Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

We have a timeless and elegant birthday card from our talented Design Team member, Rebecca to share with you today. Rebecca uses items from the brand-new Leafy Lace collection to make this stunning creation that packs a punch.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Trim Aquamarine mirror card to 7¾” square and affix to the card blank using Dries-Clear glue. Next, die-cut die one from the Leafy Lace nesting die set from Crystal white pearl card. Apply glue to the edge using a chisel-tip glue pen, cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, then affix to the card using foam pads. 

2 Cut die two from a piece of patterned paper and affix to the card using dries clear glue. Die-cut die five from Crystal White pearl card, edge in Crystallina glitter and affix to the card using foam pads. Cut die six from Aquamarine mirror card and affix to the card using foam pads. 

3 Die-cut die one from the Leafy Lace Hexagon die set from Crystal White pearl card and edge in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Cut die two from Aquamarine mirror card and affix to the card using foam pads. Cut die three from Crystal White pearl card. Stamp out a sentiment using the clear embossing inkpad and heat-emboss using Golden Glow embossing powder. Attach to the card using foam pads. 

4 Stamp out two large and four medium magnolias onto Crystal White pearl paper using the clear embossing inkpad then heat-emboss using Golden Glow embossing powder. Die-cut using the coordinating dies and create a valley fold in each of the petals. Apply small dots of Dries-Clear glue to the centre of the flower and cover in Sugared Lemon Sparkelicious Glitter. Layer two flowers together using 3D glue gel. Die-cut the coordinating stamens from white pearl card. Apply dots of glue to the edges and cover in Lemon Drop Sparkelicious glitter. Add to the centre of the flowers using 3D glue gel. Add a crystal to the centre of each then affix to the card using 3D glue gel. 

5 Die cut four leaves from Aquamarine mirror card and tuck in behind the flowers. Die-cut six berry foliage shapes and apply a small amount of Squeezed Lemon Oxide ink. Add a few dots of Dries-Clear glue and cover in Lemon Drop Sparkelicious glitter and tuck in behind the flowers. 

6 To finish off the card, add a few crystals and self-adhesive sparkles to the background, as shown.

    I love this card but I have a problem I can’t get the large leafy square die to cut I have use shims I have tried everything I hope u can help me
