Gingerbread Street - Candy Cane Lane Card Tutorial

Today, we're sharing this super-sweet Christmas card to share with you today, featuring the pretty houses of Gingerbread Street that look good enough to eat! Our super-talented Design Team member, Glynis has created this fab card, made using the latest release - Candy Cane Lane, with stunning results.

YOU WILL NEED: 

• Candy Cane Lane collection:
• Gingerbread Sentiment stamp set
• Gingerbread Street DL stamp
• Starry Night DL stamp
• Pearl card – Crystal White and Jupiter
• Mirror card – Red
• Sparkelicious glitter – Stardust Red, Diamante Sparkle, Crystallina, and Lime Zing
• Self-Adhesive Sparkles – Sparkling Silvers
• Ranger Glossy Accents
• Versafine Claire Black inkpad
• WOW! embossing powder – Clear Gloss and Silver Dollar
• WOW! clear embossing inkpad
• Assorted marker pens
• Medium size jewel
• Red ribbon and bow
• 2.5cm-wide double-sided tape
• Art Glitter Dries-Clear PVA glue
• Foam pads on a roll
• 7x10" base card
• Heat tool
• Die-cutting machine

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Trim a sheet of Jupiter pearl card down to approximately 235x163mm. Using the extra-wide double-sided tape, cover all four sides, then remove the top off the tape and sprinkle the Stardust Red Sparkelicious glitter all over, brushing off any excess glitter. Matt and layer onto red mirror card and attach to the base card.

2 For the next layer, start with a 215x153mm piece of red mirror card, then matt and layer with a piece of Crystal White pearl card, with the edges glittered with Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter, and attach to the base card with foam pads.

3 Trim a sheet of Crystal White pearl card down to approximately 200x140mm and stamp and heat-emboss the Starry Night DL stamp all over, using the WOW Silver Dollar embossing powder. Matt and layer onto red mirror card, attach the ribbon, bow, and jewel to the top left-hand corner and secure onto the base card with foam pads.

4 Stamp and heat-emboss the Gingerbread Street image onto Crystal White pearl card twice using Versafine Clair Black ink and WOW! Clear Gloss embossing powder. Colour just one of the Gingerbread Street images with the assorted marker pens and decorate with Glossy Accents, and Crystallina and Lime Zing Sparkelicious glitter. When completely dry, fussy cut and attach to the base card with foam pads. For the second stamped image, colour and glitter; the parts that you wish to make dimensional, like the roof of one or two different buildings, fussy cut and secure onto the main image with foam pads.

5 Stamp and heat-emboss the sentiment from the Gingerbread Sentiment stamp set, colour with the marker pens and decorate with Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter and Glossy Accents, then attach to the main card with foam pads. Attach the small jewels from the Sparkling Silvers Self-Adhesive Sparkles set to the large stars on the background to finish.
