Glitzy Bethlehem Scene - Christmas Angel Card Tutorial

Glitzy Bethlehem Scene - Christmas Angel Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Mix tradition with glitz and glamour with today's blog tutorial by our talented DT member, Christine! Using the beautiful Christmas Angel papercrafting collection, paired with coordinating products from the Chloe's Creative Card collection, Christine has combined black and gold with dramatic effect. Alongside the starry background, the famous Bethlehem skyline takes centre stage in this gorgeous creation.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with linked materials list.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Trim a sheet of gold mirror card to just under 8” square and affix to the card blank using dries-clear glue. Trim a sheet of Onyx pearl card to 7¾” square and edge with glue using a chisel-tip glue pen then cover in Black Soot Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads. Trim another sheet of Onyx pearl card to 7½” square, edge with a chisel-tip glue pen, and cover in Dulce de Leche Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads. Create a 7¼” square panel from gold mirror card and affix to the base card using foam pads.

2 Create a 7”-square Onyx pearl card panel then die-cut an oval from the centre. Emboss using the Star Background embossing folder. Apply dries-clear glue to the star pattern and cover in Dulce de Leche Sparkelicious glitter.

3 Cut another sheet of Onyx card so it is larger than the oval aperture created in Step 2. Stamp out the Bethlehem scene, star clusters and the verse using a clear embossing inkpad then heat-emboss using Twinkling Lights embossing powder. Apply dries-clear glue to the details on the scene and cover in Black Soot Sparkelicious glitter. Affix this panel to the oval aperture panel using dries-clear glue, then to the card using foam pads.

4 Stamp out a couple of the extra elements from the set onto Onyx Black card using a clear embossing inkpad and then heat-emboss using Twinkling Lights embossing powder. Die-cut an oval frame and affix to the card using dries-clear glue.

5 Affix a double-sided adhesive sheet to Onyx pearl card and die-cut three large Wonderland Poinsettias. Peel off the backing and cover in Salted Caramel Sparkelicious glitter. Shape by curling the leaves slightly. Adhere together using 3D glue gel then add a sparkler to the centre.

6 Carefully cut out some of the festive foliage from the acetate sheets. Apply dries-clear glue to the back of the sprigs and cover in Black Soot Sparkelicious glitter. Once fully dry, tuck in behind the poinsettias. Die-cut two stars from gold mirror card and affix to the card using dries-clear glue to finish.
