Happiness and Joy - Leafy Lace Collection Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

We have a luscious lilac birthday card from our talented Design Team member, Rebecca to share with you today. Rebecca uses items from the brand-new Leafy Lace collection to make this stunning creation that, with a change of sentiment, could be used for so many different occasions.

YOU WILL NEED: 

     

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Trim a sheet of Amethyst pearl card to 7¾” square and apply glue to the edge with a chisel-tip glue pen then cover in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card blank using Dries-Clear glue. Trim a sheet of patterned paper to 7½” square and edge in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads. 

    2 Trim a sheet of Amethyst mirror card to 7” square and affix to the card using foam pads. Trim another sheet of patterned paper to 6¾” and affix to the card using Dries-Clear glue. Trim Amethyst matt mirror card to 5¾” and affix to the card using Dries-Clear glue. 

    3 Die-cut the Leafy Lace Background outer die from Crystal White pearl card, edge in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter, then affix to the card using foam pads. Die-cut dies two and die four from the same set from Crystal White pearl card. Stick onto a double-sided adhesive sheet. Peel off the backing and stick onto a piece of white card, then cover in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Apply Dries-Clear glue to the petals and cover in Sugared Lilac Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads. Add pearls to the centres of the flowers. 

    4 Die-cut the second hexagon die from Amethyst mirror card then affix to the corner of the card using foam pads. Take the third die and cut from a piece of Crystal White pearl card. Stamp out a sentiment using clear embossing ink and heat-emboss using Steel Blaze embossing powder. Affix to the card using foam pads. 

    5 Stamp out three large and six small Country Flowers onto a piece of Watercolour Washes vellum with a clear embossing inkpad. Cover in Opaque Bright White embossing powder and heat set then die-cut using the coordinating dies. Shape by curling each petal in your fingers. Apply small dots of glue to the centre of each flower and cover in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Layer together three flowers using 3D glue gel. Add a crystal to the centre of each then affix to the card using 3D glue gel. 

    6 Die cut four leaves from Crystal White pearl card and four Berry Foliage from Amethyst pearl card then tuck in behind the flowers using 3D glue gel. Apply dots of glue to the berry foliage and cover in Zircon Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter.
