Hello Crafters,
Today's card tutorial by the talented Glynis shows us how using various shades of the same colour on a card can have bold, dramatic results. Glynis has used the Pierced and Scalloped nesting dies to create wonderful matting and layering in this design and has mixed it up with a large central sentiment, framed by beautiful dimensional blooms.

INSTRUCTIONS:
1 Place the top of the largest die from the Scalloped and Pierced Rectangle die set just over the fold on the base card and die cut. Using the same size die, cut a single piece from white card and attach to the base card, so all four sides are showing a scalloped edge.
2 Use the second die from the same set to cut into Lagoon mirror card, the third die to cut white card (glittering around the four sides using Crystallina Sparkelicious), and the fourth die cut using a piece of patterned paper from the Flower Power paper pad. Matt and layer the patterned paper panel onto the white one, then attach to the Lagoon mirror card panel using foam pads and secure onto the base card.
3 Stamp and heat-emboss the verse from the Happy Birthday Frame stamp set onto a colourwash paper from the Flower Power paper pad using Metallic Silver embossing powder and the clear embossing inkpad. Die-cut using the sixth die from the Scalloped and Pierced Oval die set, then matt and layer onto Lagoon mirror card that has been cut with the seventh die from the set and attach to the base card using foam pads.
4 Using the Flower Power stamp and die set, stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut numerous times using Metallic Silver embossing powder on to vellum. Colour from the back using Peacock Feathers Oxide ink, shape the petals, and adhere together with Pinflair glue gel. Die-cut the stamens in Silver mirror card, glitter the tips using the Art Glitter glue and Jazzy Jade Sparkelicious glitter, then secure in the middle of the flowers along with a jewel from the Festive Fancies Bling Box.
5 Die-cut the Leafy Lace Foliage, cover with Ice Breaker Sparkelicious glitter, die-cut the Swirly Foliage in Silver mirror card, decorate with pearls from the Leafy Lace Bling Box, and secure the flowers and foliage to the main card with Pinflair glue gel.
