How to Make a Sparkly Ice Skate Christmas Card

Add a bit of glitz and glam to your Chrstimas crafting with this step-by-step project to make this beautiful Sparkly Ice Skate Christmas Card.

You’ll need:

Sparkly Ice Skate

Sparkly Ice Skate Christmas Card Instructions:

Step 1

Cut a piece of white card to 7 ¼” square, dust with an anti static bag, stamp Candy Border across the top using a clear embossing ink pad and cover with Metallic Silver Superfine Embossing powder heat to set.

Step 2

Stamp Tinsel over the Candy Border using a clear embossing ink pad, cover with Winter Solstice WOW Embossing glitter and heat to set.

Step 3

Stamp Starry Sparkles Background along the bottom using a clear embossing ink pad, cover with Winter Solstice WOW Embossing glitter and heat to set.

Step 4

Using PVA glue infill the candy’s as shown and cover with Happy Holly Days Glitter.

Step 5

Using PVA glue infill the Ice Skate and cover with Aurora glitter, infill the top and cover with Faux Snow.

Step 6

Apply dots of PVA glue to the tinsel and cover with Aurora glitter, apply dots of PVA glue to the chains and cover with Twinkle Twinkle glitter.

Step 7

Allow glue to dry then matt onto a piece of silver mirri card measuring 7 ½” square using foam pads and affix to base card with foam pads.

Step 8

Stamp two Ice Skates onto heat resistant acetate using a clear embossing ink pad, cover with Metallic Silver Superfine embossing powder and heat to set.

Step 9

Turn over the Ice Skates so you are working on the back cover the Ice Skate with dries clear PVA glue and sprinkle with Aurora glitter, then infill the blade of the boot and cover with Twinkle Twinkle glitter, leave to dry ideally overnight so the glitter shines through the correct side of the acetate.

Step 10

Stamp two Ice Skates onto Vista pearl card using a clear embossing ink pad, cover with metallic silver super fine embossing powder and heat to set.

Step 11

Cut out the Ice Skates (cutting off the blade part), affix to glittered ice skates using dries clear PVA.

Step 12

Add a self adhesive jewel to each of the holes for the laces on the Ice Skates as shown.

Step 13

Stamp the Ice Skate twice onto white card and twice onto green card using a clear embossing ink pad, cover with metallic silver superfine embossing powder and heat to set.

Step 14

Cut out the top of the boot from the white card and the holly leaves from the green card.

Step 15

Infill the white top of the boot with dries clear PVA glue and cover with Faux Snow, the infill the holly berries on the green layers and cover with Happy Holly Days glitter, infill the holly leaves and cover with Grasshopper glitter.

Step 16

Build up the Ice Skates with 3D glue gel and affix to base card as shown.

Step 17

Stamp lots of candies from the Ice Skate stamp collection onto white card using a clear embossing ink pad, cover with metallic silver superfine embossing powder and heat to set, glitter candy’s using Sparkelicious glitters.

Step 18

Arrange candy’s in the top of the Ice Skates as shown.

Step 19

Stamp bow 3 times onto mars pearl paper using a clear embossing ink pad, cover with metallic silver superfine embossing powder and heat to set.

Step 20

Infill the bow with PVA glue cover with Happy Holly Days glitter, allow to dry.

Step 21

Cut out the bows, cut the first one out whole, on the second layer cut the large ribbons off at the back and on the third layer cut out just the top of the bow cutting away the loops.

Step 22

Layer together with 3D glue gel, squashing in the middle to create a 3D bow, add to the top left corner.

Step 23

Complete card by stamping Christmas Sparkle sentiment using a clear embossing ink pad cover with metallic silver superfine embossing powder and heat to set.

Step 24

Infill Christmas with PVA glue and cover with Twinkle Twinkle glitter, trim to size matt onto a piece of silver mirri card and affix to base card using foam pads.

Step 25

Complete by adding a couple of extra candy’s and self adhesive jewels as shown.
