Butterfly Birthday Card Step by Step Tutorial

Butterfly Birthday Card Instructions:

Step 1

Using an 8″ x 8″ base card position the butterfly die and the right-hand side cutting edge die together and cut on the edge of the inside piece of the card.

Step 2

Fold the left-hand side of the card in half and fold forwards.

Step 3

Using just the die with no edges cut again onto a separate piece of white card.

Step 4

Then, cover the lace part of the butterfly with Art Glitter Dries Clear Glue and Sparkelicious Glitter in the colour Radiant, on both die cuts and put to one side to dry.

Step 5

Cut four panels sized 3″.3/4″ x 7″.3/4″ in white. Using your Chisel Tip Glue Pen, glitter the edges with Brilliance Sparkelicious. Then, mat and layer onto the base card when dry.

Step 6

Next, cut four pink panels slightly smaller than the white and score around the edges and layer on top of the white panels.

Step 7

Cut a piece of white card down to 4″.3/4″ x 7″3/4″ and glitter the edges with the Brilliance Sparkelicious Glitter

Step 8

Then, Stamp and emboss the Fabulous Flower Verse sentiment onto pink card.

Step 9

Just like in step 6, score the edges and corners on a scoreboard. Then mat and layer onto the white card, but ensure to secure your pink ribbon to the lower part of this and attach it to the base card.

Step 10

Shade the butterflies with Oxide Inks and glitter with Razzle Dazzle Sparkelicious Glitter, ensuring you glitter the small butterflies at the same time.

Step 11

Stamp and heat emboss the Butterfly Trails separate stamps onto acetate using Diamond White embossing powder. Then, simply fussy cut and glitter with the Razzle Dazzle and glue into place.

Step 12

Cut down the separate butterfly panel, score around the edges and corners and glitter with Brilliance like the other white panels and mat and layer into position.

Step 13

Using the Art Glitter Dries Clear Glue, add a few drops of glue around the butterflies and sprinkle Radiant Sparkelicious Glitter over the drops.

Step 14

Finally, tie a bow and secure it into place.
