The 12 Projects of Christmas - Day 3 - Christmas Rose

Today, we're bringing you a stunning creation that could be adapted to create a full wreath, a box-frame image, a gift box or bag, or even a photo frame! Try experimenting with different papers for a variety of looks - there are so many options with this gorgeous design by DT member, Rebecca.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Take a sheet of crackle patterned paper and trim to 7¾”, affixing to the card blank using Art Glitter Dries-Clear glue. Using the largest snowflake frame, cut from a piece of Crystal White pearl card. Apply glue to the snowflakes using a chisel-tip glue pen and cover in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads. 

2 Stick a sheet of double-sided adhesive to a piece of Crystal White pearl card and die-cut the second die from the Snowflake Circles set. Peel off the backing of the sheet and cover in White Christmas Sparkelicious glitter. Buff in using your fingers then affix to the card using foam pads. 

3 Cut out the Snowflake Circle die number 4 from a piece of Crystal White pearl card and edge in Crystal Crush glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads. Die-cut a smaller circle from Crystal White pearl card again and stamp out a Christmas verse. Heat set using Metallic Silver Sparkle embossing powder. Edge using a glue pen and cover in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the centre using foam pads. 

4 Die-cut four large and four medium Christmas Roses out of Crystal White pearl paper. Cover in Dries-Clear glue and then in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter and leave to dry. Once dry, shape by creating a mountain fold in each of the petals and glue together. Stamp out two large and two medium petals onto heat-resistant acetate and heat-emboss using Metallic Silver Sparkle embossing powder. Carefully trim around and shape. Affix one into the centre of each flower. Die-cut four larger stamens and four smaller stamens from silver mirror card and affix to the centre of each flower. Add a pearl into the centre. Affix the larger flowers into one corner and the medium ones to the opposite corner using 3D glue gel. 

5 Stamp out eight of the branches from the Winter Foliage set onto heat-resistant acetate and heat emboss using Icicle embossing powder. Trim around and tuck behind the flowers using 3D glue gel, also adding a few mini pinecones behind the flowers. Finally, add three pearls to two of the corners.
