To My Lovely Friend - Pretty Peonies Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Today's card tutorial comes in the form of this pretty pink friendship card that could be sent for many different occasions, from birthdays to 'thinking of you'! Made using the brand-new Pretty Peonies collection, our talented designer, Glynis, has crafted a truly magnificent card layout that will certainly put a smile on the recipient's face.

Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial, complete with a materials list that has been linked so you can click on each product to go to its respective web page, making it easy for you to shop.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Place the top of the largest die from the Gilded Squares 3 die set just over the fold on the base card and die-cut. Using the same die, cut a single panel in white card. Glitter the debossed lines using a Quickie glue pen and Deep Pink Sparkelicious glitter. When dry, affix to the main card.

2 Using the other dies from the set, cut in Azalea mirror card and patterned paper from the Pretty Peonies paper pad. Go around the edge of the patterned panel with Glass Slipper Sparkelicious glitter, then matt and layer together and secure onto the main card with foam pads. For the next layer, repeat this process using smaller dies. Using a small die from the set, cut into white card, go around the edge with Deep Pink Sparkelicious glitter, and secure in place with foam pads.

3 Stamp and heat-emboss part of the sentiment using black ink and Clear Gloss embossing powder onto white card and affix to Azalea mirror card. Die-cut the outer die for the main sentiment and cover with Deep Pink Sparkelicious glitter. Die-cut the ‘lovely’ in white card, then adhere both together and secure onto the base card with foam pads.

4 Stamp, heat-emboss and die-cut the large butterfly twice from the Delightful Butterflies set onto white card using black ink. Colour with the marker pens, cover the top one with Deep Pink and Pink Perfection Sparkelicious glitter, and decorate with Pretty Pink Sparkles. Adhere together and secure onto the base card.

5 Using the Printed Pretty Peonies Ombre vellum pad and Peony Flower 3D embossing folder and die set, emboss and die-cut numerous flowers. Shape the petals and adhere together using 3D glue gel. Secure a 12mm Sparkler to the middle of each one, then affix to the base card with 3D glue gel. Decorate the background of the middle layer using jewels from the Sugared Pastels Bling Box to finish.
