Warm Christmas Wishes - Candy Cane Lane Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

We have an adorable Christmas card to share with you today, using the brand-new Candy Cane Lane collection. It really is super-sweet and is bound to put a smile on the recipient's face! Our super-talented Design Team member, Rebecca, has crafted this creation using a variety of techniques, that would look equally as good as a framed picture.

YOU WILL NEED: 

     

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    Trim a sheet of Jupiter pearl card to 7½” square and affix to the card base using foam pads. Trim pattered paper to 7¼” square and affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Trim kraft card to 7” square and affix to the card using foam pads. Cut another sheet of patterned paper to 6¾” square and affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Trim Crystal white pearl card to 6¼” square and affix to the card using foam pads. Tear some hill shapes from Crystal White pearl card and add them to the card using foam pads. Add scribbles of glue to the hills and cover in Winter Wonderland Sparkelicious glitter.

    2 Stamp out two small and two large snowy trees onto a sheet of green paper from the Pastel Sorbet paper pad using a clear embossing inkpad. Heat-emboss using Opaque Bright White embossing powder. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Cover in dries-clear glue and then in Sugared Lime Sparkelicious glitter. Once dry, arrange on the card and secure using foam pads. Decorate using some candies and pearls.

    3 Stamp out the gingerbread house onto kraft card using a clear embossing inkpad and heat-emboss using Opaque Bright White embossing powder. Die-cut using the coordinating die. Apply dries-clear glue all over the house and cover in Snowball Sparkelicious glitter. Once dry, add a few accents of Red Poinsettia glitter to the jellybeans etc on the house. Affix to the card using foam pads. Add a few candies to decorate.

    4 Stamp out the gingerbread people onto kraft card using a clear embossing inkpad and heat-emboss using Two Tone Copper embossing powder. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Stamp out again onto white card using a black inkpad and heat-emboss using Clear Gloss embossing powder. Carefully, cut around the clothes and colour in using alcohol markers. Apply Red Poinsettia Sparkelicious glitter and Winter Wonderland glitter to the cuffs. Affix to the gingerbread people using foam pads then affix to the card using foam pads. Tie two small bows and add these to the gingerbread people.

    5 Stamp out one of the sentiments onto kraft card and heat-emboss in Opaque Bright White embossing powder. Decorate using candies and Red Poinsettia Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads. Add a few dots of dries-clear glue to the background and cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Add a few sparkling stars to the background. To finish, add a couple of candy canes to the corner.
