Beautiful Mandala - Mandala Dies Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

We have a bold, eye-catching mandala-inspired card, made by Design Team member, Rebecca to share with you today. Elements of the Mandala of Beauty die have been used for both the main focal point of the card and also for smaller embellishments, to continue the theme. The result is this beautiful deep-pink card that could be used for so many occasions with just a quick change of sentiment.

YOU WILL NEED: 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

Cut a sheet of Azalea mirror card down to 7¾”-square and affix to the card blank using Dries-Clear glue. Trim Crystal White pearl card to 7½”-square and edge using a chisel-tip glue pen, then cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads. Trim Azalea pearl card to 7¼”-square, edge using a chisel- tip glue pen, and cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Trim a sheet of Azalea matt mirror card to 6½”-square and affix to the card using foam pads. Trim Crystal White pearl card down and edge in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads.

2 Trim Azalea pearl card down to 6 ¼”.  Cut out eight of the smallest mandala die from mirror card and glue them randomly on the Azalea card, overlapping over the edge. Trim to leave the perfect square shape and affix to the card using dries-clear glue. Cut out the largest mandala from Azalea mirror card. Affix to the card using foam pads. Cut the second detailed layer from Azalea pearl card and affix using foam pads. Add a few crystals. Cut the scalloped layer from Azalea mirror card and the circle from Crystal White pearl card. Affix onto the card using foam pads.

3 Die-cut the Filigree Happy Birthday from Crystal White pearl card and the outer layer from Azalea mirror card. Layer together using dries-clear glue. Trace around the ‘Happy Birthday’ using dries-clear glue and cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter.

4 Stamp out three large, seven medium, and two small Country Flowers onto Azalea pearl paper and heat-emboss using Sparkling Snow embossing powder. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Shape all the flowers by creating a valley fold in the petals. Add a few dots of dries-clear glue to each of the petals and cover in Pink Rose Sparkelicious glitter. Layer together using 3D glue gel. Affix to the card using 3D glue gel.  Add a crystal to the centre of each flower.

5 Stamp out three of the leafy branch stamp onto heat-resistant acetate and heat-emboss using Sparkling Snow embossing powder. Apply glue to the back of the leaves and cover in Pink Rose Sparkelicious glitter. One dry, tuck in behind the flowers using 3D glue gel.  Stamp out four swirls onto heat-resistant acetate and tuck in behind the flowers using 3D glue gel. Add a few Self-adhesive Sparkles to the swirls. Finally, glue into place three crystals in each corner of the card.
