Gingerbread Kisses - Candy Cane Lane Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,

Todays' adorable Christmas card, using the brand-new Candy Cane Lane collection, is super-sweet and is bound to put a smile on the recipient's face! Our super-talented Design Team member, Rebecca, has created this pastel-coloured masterpiece that would also look great as a framed picture.

YOU WILL NEED: 

     

    INSTRUCTIONS:

    1 Trim a sheet of pattered paper down to 7½” square and affix to the card blank using foam pads. Trim another sheet of pattered paper down to 7¼” square and affix to the card bank using foam pads. Trim a sheet of kraft card down to 6¾” square and affix to the card using foam pads. Trim Crystal White pearl card to 6½” square and affix to the card using Dries-Clear PVA glue

    2 Tear some hill shapes from Crystal White pearl card and affix to the base using foam pads. Apply lines of Dries-Clear glue and cover in Frosty Christmas Sparkelicious glitter. Stamp out three of the smaller Snowy Trees images onto white card. Colour in and then die-cut using the coordinating die. Cover in Dries-Clear glue and then in Sugared Lime Sparkelicious glitter. Carefully, tuck in behind the hills using 3D glue gel or foam pads.

    3 Stamp out the Gingerbread Street and Gingerbread People images onto white card using a black inkpad. Heat set using Clear Gloss embossing powder. Colour in using alcohol markers. Die-cut using coordinating dies. Use Sugared Lilac, Sugared Blue, Pink Perfection, and Snowball Sparkelicious glitter to glitter up the gingerbread people and houses. Affix to the card using foam pads or 3D glue gel. Add a few dots of Dries-Clear glue into the background and cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter.

    4 Stamp out one of the sentiments onto kraft card using a clear embossing inkpad and cover in Opaque Bright White embossing powder and heat emboss. Trim and then matt and layer onto a piece of white cardstock. Add Dries-Clear glue around the edges and cover in Snowball Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the top corner of the card using foam pads.

    5 Tie a triple bow and affix to the top corner using 3D glue gel. Add a candy to the centre. Finally, add some candies to the trees, houses and into the background to complete the card.
