Grande Botanical Butterfly - Beautiful Butterflies Card Tutorial

YOU WILL NEED:

• Chloe’s Creative Cards Grande Botanical Butterfly stamp and die set 
• Chloe’s Creative Cards Blooming Sentiments stamp and die set 
• Chloe’s Creative Cards Beautiful Butterflies foiled paper pad 
• Sparkelicious glitter –  Sky’s the Limit, Diamanté Sparkle, Diamond Dazzler, Crystallina, and Sparkling Butterflies 
• Wow! embossing powder – Metallic Silver Superfine and Lagoon Breeze
• Chloe’s Creative Cards mirror card – Lagoon
• Chloe’s Creative Cards glitter card – Lagoon
• Chloe’s Creative Cards pearl card – Lagoon and Crystal White
• Chloe’s Creative Cards Luxe ribbon – Sugared Blue
• Chloe’s Creative Cards Bling Box - Spring Collection 
• Heat-resistant acetate 
• 8x8” white card blank 
• Pinflair 3D glue gel 
• Chloe’s Creative Cards chisel-tip glue pen 
• Art Glitter Dries-clear PVA glue with fine-tip applicator 
• Chloe’s Creative Cards 2mm and 3mm foam pads
• Heat tool
• Die-cutting machine 

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Trim a sheet of Lagoon mirror card to 7¾”-square and affix to the card blank using Dries-Clear PVA glue. Trim Lagoon pearl card to 7½”-square, then edge using a chisel-tip glue pen and cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Matt onto the card blank using foam pads. Choose a patterned foiled paper from the paper pack and trim to 7¼”-square, then layer onto the card blank with foam pads. 

2 Next, trim Lagoon glitter card to 6 ½”-square and add to the card using foam pads. Trim Crystal white pearl card and edge in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, then affix to the card using foam pads. For the final matt, trim patterned, foiled paper and affix using Art Glitter Dries-Clear PVA glue. 

3 Stamp out and die-cut the Grande Botanical Butterfly three times; once onto Lagoon mirror card, once onto Crystal White pearl card, and once onto heat-resistant acetate. Heat-emboss using Lagoon Breeze embossing powder. Affix the mirror card butterfly to the card using foam pads. Add Dries-clear PVA glue to some of the sections on the Crystal White butterfly and cover in Sky’s the Limit Sparkelicious glitter. Add Dries-clear PVA glue to the remaining sections and cover in Diamanté Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter. Bend the wings upwards to shape and affix to the centre of the mirror card butterfly using 3D glue gel. Bend the wings upwards on the acetate layer and affix using 3D glue gel. Add dots of glitter on the wings and cover in Diamond Dazzler Sparkelicious glitter. Add a few crystals from the Bling Box down the body of the butterfly. 

4 Stamp out the Diamond Frame stamp onto Crystal White pearl card and heat-emboss using Lagoon Breeze embossing powder. Die-cut using the coordinating die. Stamp out a sentiment and die cut using the smaller diamond die. Layer together and then onto the card using foam pads. 

5 Tie a triple bow and add to the corner of the card using 3D glue gel. Add a crystal to the centre. Add a few dots of Dries-Clear PVA glue on the background and then attach a few crystals from the Bling Box. Also add a few sparkling butterflies to the background. Finally, add three crystals to two corners of the card, as shown.
