Lavender Haze - Chloe's Creative Cards Collection Issue 12 Bonus Feature

Hello Crafters,
If you've bought Chloe's Creative Cards Collection issue 12, you'll have seen that there was a bonus card inside the magazine. We have put together this blog post to show you how you can recreate this card, giving full materials listing and step-by-step instructions.
This pretty lilac butterfly card has a sentiment on it specifically for birthdays, but the design is so versatile that you could easily switch this sentiment for another - thank you, celebration, congratulations, thinking of you, and many more occasions would equally suit this delicate design.
Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Trim a sheet of lilac paper to 5¾” square, edge using a chisel-tip glue pen and cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the base card. Next, trim lilac swirl paper to 5½” square, then affix to the base card using foam pads.

2 Cut a sheet of white cardstock down to 5” square, place stencil over and spread Cosmic Shimmer Clear Texture Paste over the top. Remove the stencil and cover the image with Crushed Lavender Sparkelicious glitter. Allow to dry, then edge using a chisel-tip glue pen and cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the base card using foam pads.

3 Die-cut two large and two small filigree butterflies from lilac paper, folder the wings up and affix to the base card, just sticking the bodies in the middle and leaving the wings loose for dimension.

4 Cut out your sentiment, edge using a chisel-tip glue pen, and cover with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the base card using foam pads.

5 Complete the card design by adding Self-adhesive Sparkles, as shown.

I hope you've enjoyed this fabulous card and that it's inspired you to create your own version!
