12 Projects of Christmas Day 7 - Merry Christmas Card by Rebecca Houghton

As part of our 12 projects of Christmas I just has to share this fabulous shaped card from Rebecca using the Fancy Rectangle layering die! Sometimes it's just nice to make a shaped card for something a little different.

What you will need to create this project -

What you'll need to make this project -

  1. First take die 1 from the fancy nesting rectangle dies and use to cut a shaped card blank. Using the same die cut from a piece of crystal white pearl card, layer on top using dries clear glue. Then use die 2 and cut from silver mirror card from the sparkling Christmas mirror card pad. Affix on top using dries clear glue.
  2. Using the 3rd fancy rectangle die cut from a piece of pattered paper and affix to the card using foam pads.
  3. Take dies 8, 9 and 10 from the basic rectangle set and cut a piece of mirror card from die 8, glitter card from die 9 and patterned paper from die 10 layer on top of each other and glue together using dries clear glue. Then attach to the card using foam pads.
  4. Take a piece of crystal white card and the Christmas sentiment background stamp. Stamp out the image and heat emboss using metallic silver superfine wow powder. Trim to size using a guillotine. Using a chisel tip glue pen run round the edge of the piece and cover in glass slipper sparkleicious glitter. Matt and layer onto silver mirror card and trim to size leaving a thin border. Affix, on a jaunty angle, to the card using foam pads.
  5. Add dots of glitter into the background of the image and cover in frosted blue sparkleicious. Add on a few turquoise crystals from the festive fancies bling box using dries clear glue.
  6. Using the merry Christmas stamp and die set cut the largest Matt from silver mirror card - affix to the centre of the card card using foam pads. Cut the second matt from crystal white pearl card and affix using foam pads. Cut the final layer from blue glitter card and affix using dries clear glue.
  7. Add three clear crystals to two of the corners of the card. Tie a triple bow and attach to the corner of the card using 3d glue gel. Add a turquoise crystal to the centre of the bow.
Is this a project you'll be recreating at home? We would love to see your makes in the Stamps by Chloe Facebook Group.
