Rainbow Filigree Butterflies - Floral Frames and Flutters Collection C – Chloes Creative Cards

Today, Christine is bringing us this glorious fluttering butterfly card tutorial that could be adapted for a wide range of occasions. Christine has used items from the brand-new Floral Frames and Flutters collection along with a selection of coordinating products for this beautiful 'thank you' card!

8x8” embossing folder – Pretty Petals
8x8” mirror card pad – Jewel Colours
Pearl card – Crystal White
A4 paper pad – Pastel Sorbet
Bling Box – Sugared Collection
Sparklers – 12mm

WOW! clear embossing inkpad
WOW! embossing powder – Polished Silver Superfine
Sparkelicious Glitter – Crystallina

Foam pads on a roll
Chisel-tip glue pen

8x8” white straight-edged card blank

INSTRUCTIONS:

1 Trim a sheet of lilac mirror card from the Jewel Colours pad to 7¾” square and affix to the card base using foam pads. Trim a sheet of rainbow-coloured paper from the Fabulous Florals and Flutters paper pad to 7½” square, edge with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter and affix to the card front using foam pads. Trim a sheet of lilac mirror card from the Jewel Colours pad to 7” square and affix to the card front at an angle using foam pads. Trim a sheet of Crystal White pearl card to 6¾” square. Emboss using the Pretty Petals embossing folder, edge with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter, and affix to the card front, as shown, using foam pads.

2 Pick four coordinating colours in pink, yellow, blue, and lilac from the Pastel Sorbet papers. Using the two solid butterfly dies from the Filigree Butterfly stamp and die set, cut two large and two small butterflies from the coloured papers. Repeat this process again with the same coloured papers giving another four solid butterflies in the same colours and then run each of these four through the die-cutting machine again with the corresponding filigree die taped in place to give four filigree butterflies. Cover the filigree butterfly layers with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter using Chloe’s Chisel-Tip glue pen and layer each to its corresponding solid butterfly in the same colour. Add bling box gems to the centre of each butterfly and affix to the card front, as shown, using 3D glue gel.

3 Die-cut a piece of lilac paper from the Pastel Sorbet paper pad using the banner die from the Filigree Butterfly stamp and die set. Cut a piece of Crystal White pearl card using the same die, then stamp “Thank you” using the sentiment stamp from the same set and a clear embossing inkpad. Cover with Polished Silver Superfine embossing powder and heat set. Edge both banners with Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter and then matt and layer onto the top-left of the card using foam pads.

4 Tie a bow with Chloe’s Sugared Pink Luxe Ribbon and affix a 12mm Sparkler to the centre using 3D glue gel. Add the bow to the sentiment banner. Add an assortment of coloured Self-Adhesive Sparkles to the embossed background to finish.
