The 12 Projects of Christmas - Day 8 - Reindeer Sleigh

Hello Christmas Crafters!
Welcome to day 8 of our 12 Projects of Christmas series!
Today we're going back to our childhoods and capturing the magic of Christmas Eve when we used to look to the sky to catch a glimpse of Santa riding past in his reindeer-drawn sleigh. Rebecca has come up trumps with this magnificent design that includes a shaker element containing glistening snowflakes - it really will be the card that stands proud on the mantelpiece this Christmas!

INSTRUCTIONS:

Trim a sheet of Lapis Lazuli pearl card to 7¾” square and affix to the base card using Dries-Clear glue. Trim Crystal White pearl card to 7½” and edge using a chisel-tip glue pen then cover in Crystal Crush Sparkelicious glitter and affix to the card using foam pads. Trim Vista pearl card to 7¼” square and affix using glue. Cut a piece of foiled paper to 7” square and affix to the card using foam pads.

2 Die-cut a circle frame using circle dies numbers 7 and 13 then attach acetate the back of the frame using red-liner tape. Apply foam pads the back of the frame, leaving no gaps. Add a small pile of snowflake sequins and Snow Queen Sparkelicious glitter to the centre of the card and secure the circle frame over the top to create the shaker. Add Dries-Clear glue around the edge and cover in Snowflake Flurry Sparkelicious glitter.

3 Create some hills by tearing pieces of Crystal White pearl card then attach to the bottom of the base card. Add trails of glue and cover in Snowflake Flurry Sparkelicious glitter.

4 Stamp out three reindeers onto stamping card using a black inkpad and heat-emboss using Clear Gloss embossing powder. Colour in using alcohol makers and then die-cut using the coordinating die. Add small pieces of ribbon to the back of each reindeer to create the look of reins. Add the reindeers to the base card using foam pads. Apply glue to the antlers of the reindeers and cover in Snowflake Flurry Sparkelicious glitter. Tie three small blue bows and add to the reindeers, securing using 3D glue gel. Add a bell underneath each of the bows using 3D glue gel.

5 Stamp out the sleigh onto silver mirror card and heat-emboss using Opaque Bright White embossing powder. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Use Blue Icicle, Diamanté Sparkle, and Snowflake Flurry Sparkelicious glitters to decorate the sleigh.

6 Stamp out each of the larger parcels onto Crystal White pearl card and heat-emboss using Metallic Silver Superfine embossing powder. Colour in and decorate using a range of glitters. Tie small bows for the tops of the parcels. Affix the sleigh and parcels to the card, securing the reins behind the sleigh.

7 Tie a bow and add to the top of the card using 3D glue gel then add a bling stone to the centre. Add a few snowflake sequins around the circle and add a self-adhesive sparkle to the centre. Finally, stamp a sentiment onto white pearl card and heat-emboss using Metallic Silver Superfine embossing powder. Trim then matt and layer onto Lapis Lazuli pearl card. Affix into the centre of the card using foam pads.
