Azalea Birthday Wishes - Blooming Frames Card Tutorial

Azalea Birthday Wishes - Blooming Frames Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,
If you have bought the gorgeous Blooming Frames collection and are looking for ideas on how to use them, then look no further than this pretty, eye-catching creation from the talented Rebecca! Combining this new collection with the Christmas Magnolia stamp and die set (therefore, also proving that Christmas products are versatile and can be used year-round!), and keeping to a gorgeous Azalea pink colour palette, Rebecca has produced this beautiful design that would lend itself to many occasions aside from birthdays, as in the example here.
Read on for a full step-by-step project tutorial.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

Trim a sheet of Azalea mirror card to 7¾”-square and affix to the card blank using Art Glitter Dries-clear glue. Cut the largest Blooming Border die from Crystal White pearl card. Apply Dries-Clear glue around the edge and cover in Strawberry Sorbet Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads.

2 Trim Crystal White pearl card to 7”-square and apply glue to the edges using a chisel-tip glue pen and cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using Dries-clear glue.

3 Die-cut the second die from the Blooming Border set from Azalea pearl card. Affix to the card using foam pads. Die-cut the third largest border from Azalea matt mirror card. Apply glue to the edges using a chisel-tip glue pen and cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Affix to the card using foam pads. Die-cut the fourth die from Crystal White pearl card and edge with Crystallina. Affix to the card using Dries-clear glue.

4 Stamp out six large five-petal magnolias and six large three-petal magnolias onto Azalea pearl paper using Wow! clear embossing ink and then heat-set using Opaque Bright White Wow! embossing powder. Die-cut using the coordinating dies. Apply dots of Dries-clear glue to the centres of each flower and cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. To create the dimensional flowers, create a valley fold in each petal and then layer together two of each size using 3D glue gel, offsetting each layer. Affix to the card using 3D glue gel.

5 Die-cut three medium stamens from Azalea mirror card and apply Dries-clear glue to the edges and cover in Strawberry Sorbet Sparkelicious glitter. Add to the centre of the flowers using 3D glue gel. Add a crystal to the centre.

6 Stamp out eight leaves from the Dazzling Foliage set and heat-emboss using Opaque Bright White Wow! embossing powder. Trim around and apply Dries-clear PVA glue to the back of the leaves. Cover in Crystallina glitter. Once dry, tuck in behind the flowers using 3D glue gel.

7 Apply a few dots of Dries-clear glue onto the background and cover in Crystallina Sparkelicious glitter. Add a few crystals into the background.

8 Stamp out a sentiment onto Azalea pearl card and heat-emboss using Opaque Bright White Wow! embossing powder then trim to size. Matt and layer onto a piece of Crystal White pearl card. Affix to the card using foam pads to finish.
