With Love at Christmas - Frosty Christmas Card Tutorial

Hello Crafters,
If you're after inspiration for a fabulous Christmas card, you've come to the right place! Our talented Design Team member, Glynis has been getting into the festive spirit with our brand new Frosty Christmas collection! The results are spectacular so we're sharing it with you so that you are able to re-create it yourself.
This breath-taking card, made using a selection of items from the newly-launched Frosty Christmas collection, really is a masterclass on how great matting and layering can produce dramatic results on a card! This design, with a couple of tweaks, would also look great for a framed photo or for a scrapbook layout. Read on full a full step-by-step project tutorial.

YOU WILL NEED:

INSTRUCTIONS:

For the bottom layer, trim a piece of patterned paper from the Frosty Christmas Foiled Pad. Do the same, but slightly smaller, using Crystal White Pearl card. Next, cut a third sheet, slightly smaller again, using Vista Mirror card. Glitter the edges of the white card with Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter. Matt and layer the three pieces together and attach to the base card with foam pads.

2 Secure the stencil down onto a piece of Crystal White card. Apply the stencil paste, remove the stencil carefully, then cover with Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter and leave to dry.

3 Using the 8x8" Square die set to make two frames, cut numbers seven and twelve in patterned paper from the Frosty Christmas foiled paper pad for the top one, then seven and seventeen for the bottom frame. For the border frames, cut Lapis Lazuli card using numbers six and thirteen for the top frame and six and eighteen for the bottom frame. Attach the appropriate frames together.

4 Trim down the stencilled panel and attach to the underneath of the bottom frame using 3D foam pads. Next, secure onto the base card and attach the top frame using 3D foam pads.

5 Stamp, heat emboss and die-cut the Christmas Magnolia stamp and die set onto Crystal White card using Versafine Clair Black Ink and WOW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder. Colour the Magnolia petals using the Prize Ribbon Oxide inkpad. Glitter the petals with Frosty Christmas Sparkelicious glitter. Die-cut the stamens using silver mirror card, decorate with jewels from the Frosty Christmas Bling Box and Night Sky Sparkelicious glitter, then attach to the middle of the flowers with Pinflair glue. Glitter the leaves from the set with Blue Icicle and Diamante Sparkle Sparkelicious glitter. Arrange the flowers and leaves and fix into place around the frame using Pinflair glue.

6 Stamp and heat-emboss the sentiment from the Snowflake stamp and die set using WOW Metallic Silver embossing powder onto Crystal White card. Matt and layer onto a piece of Lapis Lazuli card and attach onto the main card with 3D foam pads.

7 Finally, secure the jewels from the Frosty Christmas Bling Box around the outer frame using the Art Glitter Dries-Clear PVA glue.
